Autobiographical Game
Description
The idea for this game was to represent my journey through academia. At first I wanted to do a pac man style game like in my story boards. When I started to build the game I had difficulty with the storyline and progression of the game as it related to my concept. As I was learning from the tutorials I realized that a frogger style came would be more fitting and easier to learn. I was able to portray a part of my life in a way that felt authentic to the experience. I thought of how the language of my game could be reflective of the content. I decided to use "tries" instead of lives and the end sequence reads "the only failure is giving up" to enforce that helped me succeed in school. Emojis seemed appropriate to emphasize the design + technology place I am in now through a known visual language.
